Dr. Shareef goes beyond just treating problems. Dr. Riaz Shareef is a board certified pediatrician with more than 16 years of pediatric expertise in taking care of children. He graduated from the Deccan College of Medical sciences in India. He completed his pediatric specialty training from Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi in 2005 and immediately moved to the Rio Grande Valley after his residency. He has extensive experience in taking care of newborns and children up to 21 years of age. He is also Board certified in Health care quality management.
Dr. Riaz Shareef is dedicated to providing infants, toddlers, children and adolescents up to 21 years of age with expert pediatric services. Dr Shareef cares about every child’s well-being, which is why he takes the time to get to know each of his patients very well. We at Valley Kidz Clinic offer a full range of pediatric services including prenatal visits for expecting parents, well-child check-ups, immunizations and sick appointments up to the age of 21. We offer same-day appointments for sick visits. We have an on-call doctor who receives patients’ calls directly instead of an answering service. Our patients can speak to a physician when needed without any barriers. We try to minimize office visits for simple ailments like common colds by giving instructions to family on how to provide care. We are able to provide afterhour care and care on weekends in association with an after-hour clinic where our doctors work as well. Valley Kidz Clinic provides health care that is relationship-based with an orientation toward the whole person. We have simplified access to care by offering same-day appointments and walk ins. We recognize that patients and families are core members of the care team and we ensure that they are fully informed partners in establishing care plans. We coordinate care with multiple specialist and if needed provide referrals in a timely manner.
